It's the End of the World ... as We Know It.

September 9, 2007 / by kathyneilsen

Apparently the year 2012 is the end of the world...but not the end of the world? The Mayan Calendar stops on December 21, 2012, the date of the winter solstice for that year and is considered by many as the end of the world. The Mayan calendar recorded time in cycles rather than a linear time line. These cycles repeat and repeat until 12/21/2012. According to some this indicates the world will under go cataclysmic events such as a super volcano under Yellow Stone erupting and a possible magnetic pole shift, while others believe we'll be entering a fourth dimension. Luckily, not everyone will die in this earth changing event...the people who do survive however will lead a more simplistic life, organic gardens and solar energy and we'll be able to communicate telepathically ( no more cell phones..Yeah) .
Now I for one believe all this because as everyone knows, the Mayans weren't human....no, they were extra-terrestrial. What most people don't know though is the Mayan civilization did not just disappear but rather they beamed themselves up and flew away.
The Christians on the other hand have jumped on the band wagon and are offering a more realistic theory...Revelation.

Y2K was a total unevent. They even celebrated it on the wrong year. The milennium actually began on Jan 1, 2001, not 2000.
    [LOL]

Ya know, now that you mention it I think there is a discrepency to the 2012 thing also. Some are saying it could happen as early as October rather than December. I hope it doesn't screw up Halloween that year. [MAD] All I now is I'm stocking up on firewood[LOL][LOL][WINK][LOL][LOL]

I had never heard about 2012 until your post. I did some research online, and it sounds like utter nonsense these folks have come up with. I do recall several years ago that the masses believed that the year 2000 was going to be the end, but we're still here. The Bible tells us that no man knows the day or the hour. The universe is in God's hands, and He's not going to let anything happen between now and 2012 (or after) unless it's His will. We don't have to worry about the year 2000, 2012, or any other year being doomsday if we prepare now to meet the Lord.
